There are several forms and documents you need whilst beekeeping. You can find some of the most regularly used ones below.
Useful Documents & Info
This chart is a guide to the beekeeping year. It gives you an idea of when to feed, when bees are most likely to swarm, what forage is available and even what pests are around. Of course bees don't always follow the book which is why it is important to carry out regular inspections and if in doubt we always have experienced beekeepers to answer any questions and advise.
It's handy to keep a copy in your hive folder for quick reference.
Hive Records
Whilst beekeeping you need to keep a record of the hive inspections you carry out on your colonies. Not only does this help you keep track of your bees, when you have the bee inspector visit they look through your records. Hive records can look different but they all contain the same information.
Veterinarian Records
It is important that if you decide to treat your hive with any medicinal administration, for example varroa treatment, that it is recorded on a Veterinarian Medicine Administration Record form. These forms need to be kept for a minimum 5 years and be available for the bee inspector when they visit.

Asian Hornet
See It, Snap It, Report It
There is a very serious threat posed by the invasive Asian Hornet, it should not be underestimated. Honey bees and many other insect pollinators are very much at risk.
It is vital that not only beekeepers but members of the general public work together to spot, identify and report Asian Hornets – so that the authorities can act quickly to destroy nests of this invasive species.
